QR Code Sizes for Print

Print size affects scan reliability more than anything else. Use these conservative minimums and always test a sample before a full run.

Quick size guide

• Business cards: 1.0–1.2 in (25–30 mm)
• Flyers / brochures: 1.2–2.0 in depending on layout
• Posters: at least 2.0 in; go larger for > 3 ft viewing distance
• Packaging: ~1.0 in with good contrast and a white backing

File formats & DPI

• Use SVG or PDF for vector-sharp print at any size.
• For PNG, export at the largest needed size (aim ~300 DPI).
• Keep a quiet zone (margin) of at least 2 modules.
